Goodbye Funky Splash! – a short note about little joys of life.

‘Funky Splash’ Hand embroidery mixed with polymer clay sculptures. Made by Justyna Wołodkiewicz.

That’s the way things go. I stitched it and had a lot of joy on the way. I’ve posted it all around the internet. And then eventually the piece found its forever home. It took plenty of time.
The ‘Funky Splash’ was a very special piece. One of the first clusters that I created. One of the bravest color choices I made. Very pleasant to photograph. Very inspiring. Even now I feel like creating something inspired by ‘Funky Splash’. But I already know no one steps twice in the same river. Every time I try to recreate myself I end up with something different. It may be a new discovery or just type of self copy. As long as I’m having fun creating the experience is valuable. If I can’t find joy in creating similar things I would rather not make them.
‘Space Umbrella’ Hand embroidery combining polymer clay sculptures. Created by Justyna Wołodkiewicz.

‘Space Umbrella’ was part of the group exhibition in Prøve Gallery in Duluth, USA. (see their ‘past exhibits’ section and spot my hoops). That was 2017 and my second experience with exhibiting in gallery. After that I didn’t get into any other show. However I was wondering if it is good or bad way of presenting and selling my works. Here I would really appreciate your opinions in the comments – if you are an artist or an art lover tell me what you think or what would you do if you were in my shoes.

Today I’d love to say a huge thank you to all my supporters and followers and the Universe for your presence and attention. I’m a lucky girl. Thank you!
