About

colorful hand embroidered hoops
Hand embroidered hoops with polymer clay sculptures incorporated.
These are my creations. These are the examples of a mixed media technique that I mastered over a span of a few years if not over a lifespan. A very unique, unique way of combining tiny abstract sculptures (made of bright coloured polymer clay)  with traditional art of stitching by hand.
My name is Justyna Wołodkiewicz. I live in Poland, Europe.
I’m self-taught artist driven by passion and curiosity.
All those eyes and masks and beaded dresses, abstract landscapes, colorful stitched shapes are manifestations of my soul. I make them to express myself – to communicate to the world the very good energy. What will the world do with that energy? It is up to them.
I know that everything we do in our life counts. Our life is a constant flow of energy. Every thought is energy. And also our life is a path of never-ending learning and becoming. So, what’s the point? Quality of those things – life, thoughts, energy, learning relate to my art and the message it sends.
My intention is to live fully, embracing all experiences, knowing myself, becoming my best self. Since the art lives in my heart, it will evolve together with me. The message will become clearer and clearer.
My values are simple: love, be healthy, be mindful (with a clear mind in many aspects), keep balance.
My art is often an expression of genuine joy. How can you explain that simply staring at colorful threads already brings ideas of how to use them. Creating enhances my vitality and gives a sense of fulfillment. At the same time, it seems to be pure play with the universe. That’s how I love creating.
